A central aspect of NEN IV is, among other things, the depiction of a fragmentary sound structure in 312 seconds. The work presents itself as a whole, while compositionally corresponding to a photographic fragmentary reality; the before and after remain obscure. The absent is simultaneously part, as the title alludes to - Nen, a timeless moment - a non-completion that extends beyond the duration of the 312 seconds...
NEN IV was composed and realized in the composer's studio in 2004/11.
