Nachtbogen
2001

for
flute and violoncello

In "Nachtbogen" - a word describing the part of the daily course of a heavenly body, which takes place below the horizon - for flute and violoncello, sounds are created whose extinction is contained in the moment of their appearance - the moment they become visible. The attention of the listener is drawn to the processes that take place during this extinction. The incorporeal sounds are subtly enriched - usually by a change in the overtone spectra -, creating an added layer of plasticity.
